Located in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Surplec possesses a state of the art repair and reconditioning facility in Western Canada.
Geographically located to better serve British-Columbia, Saskatchewan and of course Alberta, the facility was design for multiple products, namely the repair and reconditioning of polemounted transformers, single and three phase transformers as well as small to medium sized station (power) transformer. The services, offered locally with our team of expert technicians, range from simple additional or removal of bushings, to the conversion of padmounts from radial to loop feed (or loop feed to radial), to the addition of accessories such as load break or loop feed switches, all the way to full reconditioning and repair.
All transformers that go through a full repair or reconditioning service are fully sandblasted and powdercoated for the highest quality finish. Damaged parts or accessories are replaced (down to doors and radiators) and all the instrumentation is reconditioned or changed.
Surplec work always comes with a basic 18/24 months warranty on work performed, warranty that extends to the full product in the case of a full repair or reconditioning. Extended warranty can be available on request.

The purchase and salvage of all transformers is also available. Surplec recycles your transformers for a much higher return on investment to our customers, saving all parts and accessories possible to re-use the highest possible amount on all transformers.
To complete this facility is one of the most efficient and modern HV test laboratory in Canada. Surplec’s test laboratory is equipped with the most accurate and up-to-date test equipment to perform all required work on power transformers and high voltage apparatus in conformity with North American and International standards such as IEEE, CSA, IEC / CEI or as per customer tests specifications.
